Episode 10 Fortunate Son
Thankfully it didn’t happen sooner. We get our first Ensign Travis Mayweather centric episode. The story wasn’t a bad idea. A bunch of starship freighters getting into skirmishes and needing the Enterprise’s help. Ultimately the acting of Anthony Mongomery as Travis Mayweather is some of the worst in any TV show ever made. Children learning to read have conveyed better emotion than he ever accomplished while on Enterprise. He was clearly hired for looks and that’s all. His acting was the worst of the series and never improved. Later seasons downplayed him accordingly because he just didn’t have the chops to hold an episode or even a few moments on the screen.
