Episode 26 Shockwave Part 1
The crew of the Enterprise is visiting some industrial alien colony when an accident kills all 3600 people below. Archer feels responsible. The Earth exploration is about to be shelved for 20 years because Enterprise might be responsible. A bunch of gobbledeegook, exposition, running around. It turns out it was done by a stealth ship as part of the Temporal Cold War. The episode builds to a standoff with Archer and the Suliban. Archer gets time traveled to the 31st century to avoid the standoff but the world is a baron war torn landscape. He’s trapped in the future with no way to go home and his ship is about to be attacked by the Suliban.
It’s a nice cliffhanger but the buildup episode is less than exciting. Then you have to wait an entire summer to find out “who shot JR!” Shows that end on cliffhangers are confident they’re going to get another season. Will the follow-up episode be just as good? Stay tuned next week to find out.
