Episode 17 Fusion
The Enterprise meets Vulcans who embrace emotions. T’Pol is subjected to a forced mind meld by a jerk Vulcan. The B plot about a Vulcan’s dying father is too lighthearted compared to the rape allegory A-plot. The episode is harsh. It also has lasting consequences throughout the rest of the series. T’Pol ends up with some brain disorder from the mind meld which thankfully gets fixed in season four.
