Episode 19 Acquisition
Ferengi try to rob the Enterprise but Archer outsmarts them. It doesn’t quite fit with the Star Trek lore since the first time we met Ferengi were Star Trek Season 1 and it was one of the most comedic encounters ever. The Ferengi were supposed to replace Klingons as the big bad but were far too silly to claim the mantle. Follow-up appearances made them jokes. Enterprise leans into the Ferengi fans grew to love for their comedic value as opposed to that first TNG appearance. It’s a fun episode to watch but ultimately pointless in the large arc because the show couldn’t bring the species back in later episodes for risk screwing up Star Trek continuity.
